Lake Kickapoo

Lake Kickapoo is a reservoir located in Archer County, Texas, USA. It covers an area of approximately 6,000 acres and was constructed in 1947 by the US Army Corps of Engineers for flood control and water supply purposes. The lake is named after the Kickapoo Tribe of Native Americans who once lived in the area. It is a popular spot for fishing, boating, and camping, and is home to several species of fish including bass, catfish, and crappie. The lake is also used for agricultural irrigation, and its water serves the nearby communities of Wichita Falls and Archer City.
